SickSpot Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Short version: SickSpot stores your account and the poker records you enter so they sync between your devices. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it. No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing is sold. Delete your account in the app at any time and everything goes with it.
Who we are
SickSpot is a poker hand, session, and bankroll tracker for iPhone, iPad, and the web, published by Hall Software Solutions (Corey Hall), United States. Contact: support@hallsoftwaresolutions.com.
What SickSpot collects
Account information. When you create an account you give us an email address and a password, and you choose a username and an optional display name. The password is never stored in readable form; authentication is handled by Amazon Cognito.
Profile picture (optional). If you pick a photo for your profile, SickSpot stores a small, cropped copy with your account. The app only sees the one photo you choose; it never reads the rest of your photo library.
Content you record. Poker sessions (dates, locations you type, buy-ins, results, notes), hand histories (cards, actions, stacks, player names or tags you type), your players list, bankroll entries, game profiles, and app settings. This is the whole point of the app, and it is stored so it syncs between your devices and survives a reinstall.
Content you share. SickSpot has no public feed. You can find other players by username, add friends, send a friend a hand or session, and like what a friend sends you. What you send, your likes, your username, display name, profile picture, and the time are visible only to that friend. Your latest session results and three-month trend are shown to friends only if you turn those settings on (Profile → Privacy; both are off by default); when on, a summary is built on your device and updated when it changes. We also store notifications (for example, "@dan sent you a hand") so your Friends tab can show what's new.
Pool comparison (optional). If you tap "Share anonymously and compare" in Reports, SickSpot sends your totals for each game (for example, hours played and profit at $1/2 No-Limit Hold'em) to be combined with other players' totals. No name, username, individual sessions, dates, or locations are included. The totals are stored against your account ID only so they can be updated as you play; other players only ever see pool-wide figures such as medians and percentiles. You can stop sharing from the same screen.
Reports. If you report a hand, session, or user, we store the report (what was reported, by whom, the reason, and any note you add) so we can act on it.
Purchases. SickSpot currently has no in-app purchases. If a SickSpot Pro subscription is offered later, it will be processed by Apple; SickSpot receives only a subscription status, never payment details.
What SickSpot does not collect
- No location tracking. Locations are names you type.
- No contacts, and no access to your photo library beyond a profile photo you pick.
- No advertising identifiers, no ads, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No data is sold or shared with data brokers.
Face ID or passcode lock is handled by iOS on your device; SickSpot never sees your face data. The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island Live Activity is drawn on your device from data already in the app.
Where it is stored
Data is stored on your device and in Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States (us-east-1): Amazon Cognito for accounts and Amazon DynamoDB for content, both operated by Hall Software Solutions. Data moves between your device and AWS over encrypted connections (HTTPS). AWS is the only third-party service that handles your data; its privacy practices are described at aws.amazon.com/privacy.
How it is used
Only to run the app: sign you in, keep your data in sync, show the social features you choose to use, compute pool comparisons if you opt in, answer support requests, and act on reports. We do not use your data for advertising and do not track you across other apps or websites.
Deleting your data
In the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything in it (sessions, hands, bankroll, players, profile picture, pool comparison totals, friendships, likes, notifications, and the hands and sessions you and your friends sent each other) from our servers and from the device, usually within seconds.
You can also email support@hallsoftwaresolutions.com from the address on the account and we will delete it within 7 days.
Signing out, or deleting the app, does not delete your account.
Children
SickSpot is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and note it in the app's release notes.
